At ClipScribe, we take your privacy and the security of your data seriously. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle, process, and protect your information when you use the ClipScribe mobile application and our associated services.
ClipScribe captures internal system audio retroactively. To do this, the application maintains a brief, ephemeral 60-second audio loop directly in your device's memory (RAM). This loop is continuously overwritten. Raw audio data is never written to your device's storage unless you explicitly request a capture, and audio older than 60 seconds is immediately discarded.
When you trigger a transcription, we process the captured audio segment as follows:
To access the app's history features, we use Firebase Authentication (Google Accounts, anonymous, or email sign-in). Firebase collects basic account information (such as email address and user UID) to secure your data. Your saved transcripts are stored in our secure database linked to your account UID so that they are accessible only to you.
If you join the ClipScribe waitlist or pre-order on our landing page, we collect your email address and platform choice (iOS/Android). We only use this information to send you updates about ClipScribe product launches, waitlist status, and related announcements. We do not sell or share your contact information with third parties.
You can delete your saved transcripts at any time directly within the ClipScribe app. Doing so permanently removes the transcription record from our database. If you would like to delete your account or be removed from the waitlist, please contact us at support@clipscribe.com.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
